Twelve Ghanaian students have safely returned home after participating in the 2025 Upper Canada College (UCC) Global Summer Camp in Toronto, Canada.

The group, which included Charlia Kweh and Caresa of Delhi Public School International (DPSI) Tema, landed at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Sunday, August 17, to an emotional welcome from parents and relatives around 9 p.m. The students had spent three weeks at the prestigious camp, which brought together about 150 young learners from 14 countries, including the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, and Malaysia.

The programme, facilitated by the Institute of Executive Studies (IES) Ghana, offered participants a mix of academic enrichment, cultural exchange, and recreational activities. According to IES, the students were drawn from several Ghanaian schools, including Saps School, Morgan International Community School, Santa Barbara School, Jemison Carver STEM International School, Peculiar International School and Aves International School. They departed Accra on July 26 and arrived in Toronto the following day.Ghanaian tourism packages

Upper Canada College, located 20 minutes from Toronto Pearson International Airport, hosted the camp with a curriculum that blended classroom learning with extracurricular opportunities. The students explored theatre arts, English language instruction, debate, financial literacy, robotics, coding, computer programming, gaming, visual arts, and leadership training. Recreational options included hockey, soccer, golf, baseball, water sports, and basketball.

Cultural excursions gave the young Ghanaians the chance to experience iconic Canadian landmarks such as the CN Tower, Niagara Falls, the Royal Ontario Museum, Ripley’s Aquarium, and Centre Island. Each participant received a certificate at the end of the camp.

Ms Anne Appiah, Customer Service and Marketing Officer at IES Ghana, noted that the institute has facilitated international learning opportunities for Ghanaian students for over 13 years. She also announced that registration for the 2026 summer camp is now open, urging parents to begin the process early by contacting IES Ghana or visiting its Dzorwulu office near the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra.

IES summer camps cater to children aged between 8 and 16, divided into Juniors (8–11), Intermediates (12–13), and Leadership (14–16). Each group follows a tailored programme, with older participants also being trained for future roles as camp counsellors.

She came to find a lot of things, not to mention how it is like to have an amazing giving style to get others with no trouble learn about specific complex matters. You truly did more than my expected results. Thank you for offering those effective, trustworthy, educational not to mention fun guidance on that topic to Evelyn.
